On Tuesday 9 February 2010, the Inspector General of MNRE (Dr. Monthip Srirattana Tabucanon) and MNRE’s inspection team arrived Regional Environment Office 12 (Ubonratchathani), and were welcomed by Mr. Chaliew Leesa-nga, the director general of Regional Environment Office 12 (Ubonratchathani). 

           

     From 9 AM to 12 AM, Dr. Monthip, acting as the chair of Task Integration Committee of MNRE at a regional level for the area of Mool Watershed and the lower part of Chee Watershed (covering 5 provinces: Mukdaharn, Yasothorn, Amnatcharoen, Roi-et, and Ubonratchathani) according to MNRE’s statement Number 147/2552 signed on 13 July 2009, chaired a meeting of the Committee at the 3rd-floor meeting room of Regional Environment Office 12, Muang District, Ubonratchathani Province. The meeting was attended by representatives of many central and regional organizations namely Pollution Control Department (PCD), Department of Environmental Quality Promotion (DEQP), Office of Natural Resources and Environmental Policy and Planning (ONEP), Regional Water Resources Offices 3 (Udornthani), 4 (Khonkaen), and 5 (Nakornratchasima), Regional Groundwater Resources Offices 10 (Udornthani) and 11 (Ubonratchathani), Protected Areas Regional Offices 8 (Khonkaen) and 9 (Ubonratchathani), Forest Resources Management Regional Office 7 (Ubonratchathani), Yasothorn Seedling Nursery Center, and Provincial Natural Resources and Environment Offices of Mukdaharn, Yasothorn, Amnatcharoen, Roi-et, and Ubonratchathani. The Regional Environment Office 12 acted as secretary of the meeting. Agenda of the meeting concerned plans/projects of the fiscal year 2010 that are operated in the area of Mool Watershed and the lower part of Chee Watershed (Mukdaharn, Yasothorn, Amnatcharoen, Roi-et, and Ubonratchathani). The Inspector General gave recommendations for responsible organizations about solutions to improve their work for more efficiency and able to support objectives of the Committee. 

           

           

     From 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM, the Inspector General of MNRE (Dr. Monthip Srirattana Tabucanon) attended the meeting that discussed about solutions to comply with the Key Performance Indexes under the Operation Agreement for the fiscal year 2010. The issue concerned all levels of organizations including ministries, permanent secretariat offices of ministries, departments, and provinces. In addition, the meeting also brainstormed for opinions about solutions to implement the “One Province, One Ramsar Site” policy of the minister of MNRE.

     Conclusively, important results from the meeting of the Task Integration Committee are that the Inspector General who chaired the meeting has asked all organizations with plans or projects that are conducted within the area of Mool Watershed and lower part of Chee Watershed to send information about their projects of the year 2010 with relevant details to the secretary of the meeting. Also, the Inspector General gave advice about solutions to integrate all work or projects in the area so that they can have tangible and mutual achievement. In addition, organizations that encountered problems or obstructions were encouraged to inform their affiliated organization so that the problematic plans can be reviewed, revised, and improved.
