MNRE’s Inspector (Wichien Jungrungruang) investigates petitioned areas

Mr. Wichien Jungrungruang, an inspector of Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MNRE) went to the field to check petitions regarding the case that some intruders encroached forest area around Rudee Wanalai Palace of Her Majesty the Queen Sirikit in Hua Hin District, Prachuapkhirikhan Province, during 9-10 February 2010.

     Tuesday 9 February 2010: At 10:30 AM, Mr. Wichien Jungrungruang, an inspector of Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MNRE) arrived the Protected Areas Regional Office 3 (Phetchaburi Branch) to have a meeting with officers of the Royal Forest Department (RFD) and the Provincial Natural Resources and Environment Office of Prachuapkhirikhan. The meeting was for examining a case that was petitioned to the Permanent Secretariate Office of MNRE. The petition was entitled “There is illegal encroachment in forest areas around Rudee Wanalai Palace of Her Majesty the Queen Sirikit in Hua Hin District, Prachuapkhirikhan Province”. 
     
           

           

     Governmental officers, the Black Mountain Golf Field in Hua Hin, as well as local villagers are suspected to be relevant to the encroachment, which aims to possess the land. After that, from 2 PM to 5 PM, the MNRE inspector (Wichien Jungrungruang), accompanied by the governor of Hua Hin District (Mr. Somchai Bamrungsap), officers of MNRE, and governing officers of Hua Hin District Administration went to an area around the Black Mountain Golf Field and forest areas around the Rudee Wanalai Palace. During the field inspection, the entrepreneur of Black Mountain Golf Field and Border Patrol Policemen had given additional useful information to the inspection team. 

           

           

     Wednesday 10 February 2010: At 9:00 AM, Mr. Wichien Jungrungruang, an inspector of Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MNRE) together with some MNRE officers went for a meeting with the governor of Hua Hin District (Mr. Somchai Bamrungsap), governing officers and security officers of Hua Hin District Administration, and a group of community leaders of Tambol Hin Lek Fire Subdistrict Administration Office, Hua Hin District, Prachuapkhirikhan. The meeting was to continue the investigation about land possession and activities of Black Mountain Golf Field as well as the forest encroachment around the area of Rudee Wanalai Palace of Her Majesty the Queen Sirikit in Hua Hin District, Prachuapkhirikhan Province.
